U.S. 101 (Oregon Coast Highway) south meets Oregon 126 (Ninth Street) at the western terminus of the state route in the town of Florence. Oregon 126 comprises the main route between the central Oregon coast and the city of Eugene. The state highway is a remnant of the U.S. 126 designation terminated in 1972.
