California 330

California 330 is the original route of California 30, which used to turn northeast at Highland and head toward Running Springs rather than head southeast back to Interstate 10. Today, California 330 connects California 30/210 at Highland with California 18 at Running Springs.

As California 330 descends from Running Springs to Highland, the highway takes a lengthy and continuous decline for nearly its whole length. Due to the recent cool weather, the "icy" sign was also shown. Photo taken 04/18/04.

California 30/210 heads east to Interstate 10 in Redlands and west to Interstate 215 in San Bernardino. Although California 30 reverts to a city street for a short distance west of Interstate 215, it is slated for conversion into freeway by 2007. At that time, California 30 will cease to exist, and the entire freeway route will become part of California 210 and ultimately Interstate 210 contingent upon approval from AASHTO. Southbound California 330 at Exit 1B, Junction California 30/210 west to San Bernardino and Pasadena. Exit 1A follows the left lane onto eastbound California 30/210. This marks the southern terminus of California 330; no end shield is present. Photo taken 04/18/04.
