California 142 is Carbon Canyon Road, which starts at California 90/Imperial Highway in Orange County and extends northeast through Chino Hills to California 71/Chino Valley Freeway in San Bernardino County. The route is mostly rural, but development pressures have resulted in an increasing suburbanization of the corridor.
